Guy - Melboune one last time

Hi all, what have you been up to with everything? On Saturday we just came back from Melbourne, and we are feeling kinda sad that it ended like a flash. It was good fun to me and everything went smoothly. Good accommodation, cheap air tickets, beautiful weather on correct days, smart buys and many more. Though it rained on the last 2 days, we still managed to absorb every single minute of Melbourne to the fullest. It is somewhere we will want to go together again in the far future.

Here are some of the pictures we took..

A Vietnamese eatery where many international celebrities visit. Outside the shop there is a paper about their rice noodles which says "Bill Clinton had two bowls, how many can you eat?"

The Melbourne train station, beautiful every at angle you take it

Window shopping when all shops are closed

Kat's favorite

We finally been to Melbourne! The 12 apostles in Great Ocean Road

A street artist using only chalks and a floor

Great cakes, but we always have not enough rooms for deserts

Something I always wanted courtesy of the TV show "Win, lose or draw"

Thanx for viewing and hope everyone had a good start to the week!

Kat - Melbourne here I come!

I'm going Melbourne tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The flight is at 6 in the morning. I'll be reaching Melbourne at 8?
It's kind of sudden and I just made the booking with guy yesterday. I was saying how I wish I could like go to Melbourne now, then he went to check the flights and accommodation. And in 1 hour, everything was done. It seems everything was just nicely planned out. =] The flight that we wanted were the cheapest and the accommodation is in the heart of the city at a fab price to boot.
I think it's gonna be fun fun fun!! I want to take a million photossssssss!! hoho.

Here's what I wore today.

What's on me:
Blue tube as skirt, white camisole, cotton on drappy cardigan, supre grey tights, Inniu beige shoes, Icon studded belt, accessories from everywhere, thrifted bag and my thrifted necklace!

I love that necklace. It's huge and beautifully crafted. It was pretty much love at first sight. I got the necklace when I went to the salvos the other day where the guy gave me a huge discount. He's the best I tell you. I think he only charged me like $3 for the necklace?

I'm pretty hyped up for the trip!! Need to do some packing! tata! loves.

Kat - Guy's nerdys.

I wanna go Melbourne again. Soon. I have yet to book anything but I'm hoping to go this coming week or the week after next. It'll be my last time in Melbourne. Until I decide to come back here to work. I wanna do the great ocean road. Been to Melbourne twice, but I didn't even bother going there. Was too caught up in melbourne shopping.
Melbourne is my favourite city in Australia, followed by gold coast and then sydney.

Here's what I wore today. Went out for a walk and stop myself from getting stuck in the house. The top is thrifted as well as the belt. Been wearing so many thrifted stuff these few days. I love the silky material of the top. It's so cooling and comfortable to wear. The colour is real pretty too.

The hand in my hair is like my staple pose. I will reach for my hair automatically when taking such photos.

Photoscape is really quite fun to use! It's free so you should try it! hoho!

What's on me:
Thrifted blue silk button shirt ($1), thrifted belt ($2), lame leggings, steve madden gladiators, huge bag ($5), rosary is a gift from guy, guy's nerds.

Kat - Victorian

The weather in Canberra is getting a little too hot nowadays. The transition from winter to summer has been really weird, with one day wishing you could walk around shirtless and the next searching and looking for more layers to cover yourself.

But nevertheless, summer is finally here. HOT HOT HOT. I hope I'll be able to survive the Singapore heat. The sweating and the humidity and the scorching sun. Ewww.

It's a rather breezy day today, so I took out this tunic that I bought and have not worn. I thought I could use it as a dress but it's too short to be one. Loving the Victorian feel to it. The material feels really soft and light. Initially, I couldn't decide how to wear it, so I tried it 2 ways. Tell me which one you prefer.

The first way:

The second way

Actually, it was just tucking the tunic in and out of the skirt. haha. I wore the second way in the end.

What's on me:
Victorian top, black skirt, Inniu beige shoes ($14), vintage bag, Icon ring, polka dots bow clip, accessories from here and there.
I love my ring. It's pretty huge. In the background of the photo shows the house that I'm staying in.

That's a back view of guy. I posted his picture without him knowing.

Guy - Moved out

These few weeks has been tiring but great. We moved out of Ursula and will stay for around 1 month at our friend's home. The home is really nice, as it is what Kat wanted before she goes back to Singapore : a kitchen where she can cook all the stuffs she wanted and say goodbye to our hall's shitty food. She is a food prodigy as she is able to reproduce food which I missed back in Singapore when cooking the dish for the first time. I am really having much fun these few weeks but sadly Kat is moving back to Singapore in 20 days. Not sure how much of me will die when she is gone T_T.

Doing storage is damn hectic, luckily it is the end of exams and we are all more light hearted.

The end of the semester also meant spring cleaning of our individual rooms, and it is as hectic as doing storages. In the picture, while I was clearing out unwanted stuff I found fun in squeezing out my shaving gel onto the basin. That yellow bit is Neutrogena. Not sure if you can tell what I am trying to write.

Since it is Kat's last few moments in the hall, we decided to go around the hall to take pictures of it for the last time. It was actually quite sad doing it as it will be my last few hour spending time with Kat there. The more places we went around the hall the darker the places got as the sun starts to set. Glad that it was the place I got to know Kat but sad that I will be back here again next year without her.

O its me and my bike! It has really made my life alot easier in the university especially during summer school when the flies start molesting me. With him around, I was able to get to my classes without constantly slapping the air around my face. Unfortunately as you might see he is injured at the moment as his back tire is punctured. Hope to get him back working soon as another summer school approaches, but nowadays the desire to cheat on him for a vintage bike seems stronger and stronger.

Its Kat around the hall... every single cubic metre meant a special bit of memory to her. xoxo

We also explored some of the vacant rooms in the hall, and these pictures we took it through the pin hole of a door.

This is our accomodation for a month before I return to Ursula. It is known as the Man House.

Got used to it pretty fast after we clean up the room. Got a culture shock on the first night of our stay as it was abit too manly for me. But we recovered pretty fast and our shopping adventure were back to normal.

This black slipper I got after my exam was something I considered quite long (though it was only $25 and I got it using a voucher). But it is indispensible as it is very versatile with many outfits. There are just some days when I feel sick of wearing shoes and I just feel like popping them on to allow my toes to wiggle in the fresh air.

Woo yea... my toes are smiling now.

Went to the museum for the second time in my life but this time I explore more of what I did not finish the previous time.

Haha this picture is taken from the museum and I liked it. Not sure why it is there but it reminded my of a Bruce Lee movie when he had this famous fight scene with a old man with a wolverine hand. In the end Bruce smashed all the mirrors to prevent it from deceiving him where the bad guy is really is.

I just got my results back and felt really relieved that I did not fail any subject. Hopefully I will be able to study smarter and obtain better grades the next time and I hope everyone had done well for their exams!

Kat - The jacket

I grab this jacket from the salvos that day! It's a little too big, but it is wayyyyyy too cute to resist. The navy colour with the mix of red and white. Sailor looking and I definitely love it.

What's on me:
Thrifted jacket ($2.50), Zu oxfords.

This is such a short entry. haha.

Kat - Wearing my thrifted clothes.

I think I am gross. LOL. I wore those thrifted clothes without washing!! But I smelt them and they seems like it's really clean! I think the salvos store washes the clothes before selling them. Or so I hope.

that japanese looking top bought at the thrift shop yesterday. =] I really like it!

What's on me:
thrifted top ($2.50), tube dress, oroton vintage belt, charles and keith wedges, thrifted bag ($3.50).

I got a pair of gladiator sandals today as my shoes were hurting my toe nails. I wonder what's wrong with those toes, they have been hurting since yesterday. Guy says I really look like a gladiator whenever try those gladiator sandals as they make my calf look huge. haha. I hate my legs. I want those endless legs that go on forever. Anyhow, I just got them as they were like 30% off and my toes were crying out for a new shoe.

Kat - The sky is beautiful

I went grocery shopping on Sunday! Theoretically speaking, I have been grocery shopping everyday. LOL.
I have made baked honey chicken thighs, mapo tofu, ba kut teh, seafood marinara spaghetti, french crepes with scrambled eggs, stir fry vegetables, vinegared chicken, vegetables with oyster sauce, fried rice, fried hokkien mee and black pepper prawn udon so far!! My mum would be sooooo proud of me! haha!

Oh! And here's what I wore on Sunday. Just a casual outfit for a quick trip.

What's on me:
Topshop tank top, bandage skirt, lame leggings, Charles & Keith grey wegdes, equip headband, vintage bag.

I went thrift shopping again today! The guy working there is the nicest ever. He sold me a necklace, a bag, 3 brooches, 1 bangle, 3 tops all for 10 dollars. =] Yippie yayyy!

Here's what I wore today:
Tube dress, ZU gladiator heels, vintage bag, scarf from tie rack, bangles from here and there.

I cheated, I changed into my black flip flops before I went out as my toe nails really hurt. =( But I took the photos before I changed!
